Details The BURA Awards for Best Practice in Regeneration

Open for entries until 08 July 2009

Do you want to be recognised as the best in the sector? Our respected awards offer an opportunity to gain recognition for your hard work, boost morale within your team and gain a reputation for innovation and success that can help you secure work into the future.

If you are involved in a project that meets the awards criteria, or want to nominate one, we want to hear from you. It’s free and simple to enter: visit today to download the entry form and guidance notes. If you want to discuss the suitability of your project for entry, contact Viv Niblett on 020 7539 4030 or

Winners come from projects large and small and the type of places, projects and schemes awarded varies year on year. All entrants should demonstrate strength in their:

· Economic contribution and catalytic regenerative effects

· Social and community dimension

· Environmental dimension

· Finance and Management

Entrants should have a proven track record of success: The project or a distinct phase should be complete and occupied, any facilities should be in good use and significant improvements to the area should be evident.

Successful projects will demonstrate ‘Best’ rather than ‘Good’ or ‘Average’ practice and will be innovative in some/all of the above dimensions. They will provide learning points and have features worthy of replication across the regeneration sector.

Our awards are unique in having support from across the four home nations of the United Kingdom. We would like to thank our sponsors and partners for their continued support into 2009: The Homes and Communities Agency, The Scottish Government, The Welsh Assembly Government – Department for the Economy and Transport, The Department for Social Development – Northern Ireland, and Regeneration & Renewal Magazine.

Entries are only open until the 08 July 2009.

Visit for more information on the assessment and criteria, or contact Viv Niblett on / 0207 539 4030
